U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl's (R-Mobile) congressional campaign announced Wednesday the release of its fourth TV spot in his re-election bid to Alabama's first congressional district.
Carl has been on the airwaves since the end of November and recently announced a successful fundraising quarter for his campaign.

Carl's well into the messaging phase of his campaign with seven weeks left in the Republican primary election. His previous advertisement focused on building Trump's border wall. His new ad, "Bad Guys," focuses on reviving the economy and ending President Joe Biden's economic policies.
In his announcement, Carl said, "I'm fighting to bring back the Trump economy and put an end to Bidenflation. Thanks to Biden, it hurts every time you fill up your tank, stock your refrigerator, or run a business."
Carl concluded, "I'm the conservative workhorse who has what it takes to reverse Bidenflation, unleash American energy and end our reliance on oil from foreign dictators, and get our economy back on track. I won't give up until we get it done."
According to the campaign, the new ad is backed up with another substantial media buy across the district on digital, cable and broadcast platforms.
After the federal courts re-drew Alabama's first congressional district, it put two incumbent members of Congress in the same district, forcing them to run against each other, which is a rare occurrence in American politics.
