The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after detectives said a 17-year-old male threw a six-year-old little girl into a fire.

The incident happened off Claremont Drive in unincorporated Baldwin County.

Deputies were called to the scene and located the little girl and her mom across the street from where the incident happened. Both were burned after the mom said she rescued her child from the fire.

The victims are now in stable condition.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the teen throwing the child in the fire. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder and second-degree assault.
