The political action committee connected to the national organization Eagle Forum has endorsed Dick Brewbaker in the race for Alabama's second congressional district.

Brewbaker announced the endorsement Thursday.

"I'm thankful for faithful supporters like Eagle Forum, who will answer the bell and stand with me in this primary – and against the Woke Dems in November," Brewbaker said. "Eagle Forum has been a bastion for the principles of Liberty, Security, and Limited Government, and I am happy to receive the endorsement."

Eagle Forum cited Brewbaker's longstanding conservative stances and willingness to stand and be counted as one of the pillars of the conservative movement, which finds itself naturally aligned with his candidacy.

"Dick Brewbaker stands out from the competition because of his principled conservative values," Eagle Forum President Kris Ullman stated. "We trust that he will not only vote in the interests of his constituency but that he will lead on the issues that will support Alabama families."

Brewbaker is the Republican favorite among political consultants to secure the nomination currently but may be forced into a runoff with either State Sen. Greg Albritton (R-Atmore) or Montgomery attorney Caroleene Dobson.

Unlike most of Alabama's congressional districts, this race will not be decided by the Republican or Democrat primary. Once both parties have nominees, voters of the second district should expect millions of dollars to be spent on this race as the general election will be a hard-fought race that will play a role in shaping which party controls the U.S. House of Representatives next year.
