The Eagle Forum Political Action Committee (PAC) has officially endorsed Caroleene Dobson for Alabama's second congressional seat with one week left until the much-anticipated general election on November 5.
While the nation's eyes are fixed on the presidential race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, a possibly new Democratic congressional seat hangs in the balance in Alabama.
Last year, the federal courts mandated a rewrite of the state's congressional lines, leaving the door wide open for the Democrats to add an additional seat in the state's federal delegation. The resulting electoral shuffle led to incumbent AL-2 U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) vying for the first congressional seat, snatching the GOP nomination from incumbent U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) in the GOP runoff.
In AL-2, Dobson, the political newcomer, defeated former State Se. Dick Brewbaker to secure the GOP nomination. She faces former Obama staffer Shomari Figures in a race that is squeezing tighter in the final days before the election.

On Tuesday, Eagle Forum PAC, representing the national conservative group with a significant network of state affiliates, added its name to the growing list of groups backing Dobson in the upcoming fight for the seat.
"Caroleene Dobson is the best candidate to represent Alabama's 2nd district," said Eagle Forum president Kris Ullman. "As a mother of two daughters, she understands the need to protect the privacy of young girls as well as their educational and athletic opportunities. She will stand up against the radical transgender activists who want males on female sports teams and in their locker rooms. She will protect all of our children from the 'woke' ideology that is infiltrating our schools."
"As a fifth-generation ranch owner, Dobson understands the concerns of Alabama's farmers and ranchers. She will fight to get rid of unnecessary government regulations of agricultural businesses and work to protect property rights so that farmers can retain their own land," she added.
