A trial in a lawsuit between Dothan’s Harvest Church and the United Methodist Church (UMC) has been set for March.
Houston County Circuit Judge Christopher Richardson last week set the trial for the week of March 24-28.
In April, the Alabama Supreme Court allowed Harvest Church's lawsuit against the UMC to continue.
Harvest Church in Dothan is suing the UMC over a property dispute after the church announced its disaffiliation from the denomination.
“With each victory we feel more confident that the law is on our side, and we look forward to showing that Harvest church property belongs to Harvest Church alone,” Harvest Church pastor Ralph Sigler told 1819 News in April.
