Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze issued a plea for prayers for running back Brian Battie after he was shot in the head over the weekend.
Battie was injured in an early Saturday morning shooting in Sarasota, Fla., while his brother, Tommie, was pronounced dead on the scene. In addition to Brian Battie, four others were reportedly injured in the shooting.
According to Freeze, Battie suffered a "setback" on Sunday night and is in need of prayers.
"Auburn family. Please continue to pray for Brian Battie," Freeze wrote on Twitter. "There was a set back last night and he’s still on a ventilator. #AUSTRONG"

A GoFundMe has been set up for the Battie Family after the loss of Tommie and as Brian deals with his injuries. It has raised over $60,000.
