The Jefferson County School system has a need for more exceptional education teachers and employees, and it's offering several incentives to help fill the gap.
Based on job classifications, employees can earn up to $4,200 in supplemental pay for the upcoming school year.
All positions pay an extra $3,000 but others are eligible for more. For example, psychometrists, educational diagnosticians, autism/behavioral support specialists, occupational and physical therapists and audiologists get $3,000. Special education classroom teachers and adapted physical education teachers get the maximum amount of $4,200.
There are other open positions eligible and all current openings are listed online.
The supplements are only guaranteed for the 2024-2025 school year.
