Our founders didn’t write the Constitution to grant rights to the people. Instead, they wrote it to SECURE our God-given freedom and equal rights.

Because governments throughout history have so often assumed and exercised powers that were not theirs, the American founders granted only certain powers to the government. Some founders added amendments to spell out certain rights, the abuse of which we are not to tolerate, including the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition of the government. Our founders recognized that liberty is meaningless without those freedoms.

But we are not free today while liberal progressives control our federal government. Consider the FBI and our so-called “Justice” Department. They effectively told Twitter, Facebook, and other media outlets which of us can speak and write, and what we are and are not allowed to say, seemingly protecting progressives from the scrutiny of truth. Those who say things that progressive liberals don’t like, including former President Trump, are banned from expressing their views, and many subjects are off limits.

Many know about these abuses and the harm they have done, but others must not, for we don’t seem to be doing anything effective to correct them.

I believe the most harmful effects of recent government censorship fall into two categories. The first helped bring about the second, which enabled the harm from the first category to continue. The first category includes everything that has to do with the COVID-19 pandemic, the allegedly fake, poisonous vaccines, and the government mandates for many Americans to submit to the “jab.”

Americans were fed many falsehoods through mass media, social media, and the medical industry. Dr. Naomi Wolf wrote an extensive article on the subject, wondering whether supernatural forces (such as Satan) could be involved, as the effects seemed more evil and more harmful than humans alone can produce. All Americans should read her article.

I lost both of my parents to COVID in 2021. I can't shake the thought that they were murdered due to the CDC medical protocol of using Remdesivir for COVID-19. My parents suffered kidney damage. I now believe that going to the hospital is a downgrade in healthcare.

But harmful censorship goes beyond COVID, reaching into the national election of 2020, which I believe was stolen from the American people. Control over mass and social media by federal government appears to have played a part. For example, most Americans didn’t know about the Hunter Biden laptop story and its implication of Joe Biden until after the election. Many still don’t know or understand it.

Most Americans also don’t understand the effects of month-long election days and the abuse of mail-in ballots, ballot drop boxes, and ballot harvesting, even after the film “2000 Mules,” by Dinesh D’Souza, with the help of “True The Vote” leaders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips. Most Americans don’t understand that we seem to be voting on election machines that can select our officials, rather than allow us to elect them — all without a trace that we can even use to show the truth.

Many Americans have been told that what happened on Jan. 6, 2021 was an “insurgency” against the U.S. government, and that the political prisoners held in the aftermath were to blame.

This evil control over our freedoms of speech and the press grows worse and more harmful every day, and talking about it among those of us who can see the abuse doesn’t seem to do much good. Without the ability to speak out against social injustice and acts of appalling atrocity, evil will flourish.

Frederick Douglass understood the significance of this point. In his 1860 article entitled, The Plea for Free Speech in Boston, Douglass reminds us that free speech has the power to advance the cause of freedom by bringing wicked and immoral conduct to light, maintaining freedom once it is established:

“Liberty is meaningless where the right to utter one's thoughts and opinions has ceased to exist. That, of all rights, is the dread of tyrants. It is the right which they first of all strike down. They know its power.”

Let us remember his words and act accordingly.
