Several more criminal suspects have been arrested in Alabama in recent weeks and placed on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holds as federal law enforcement tries to confirm their status as illegal aliens.
On Sunday, the Fort Payne Police Department responded to a call that a group of people was detaining a male. The group had surrounded his vehicle, not letting him drive off. The suspect, Anibal Eleodoro Diaz-Domingo, 40, was arrested at the scene for DUI. Police later discovered that Diaz-Domingo had been caught crawling out from underneath a mobile home.

Court records state a woman was home alone when she discovered Diaz-Domingo under her home. He allegedly fled while his pants were still undone and falling off while he attempted to escape.
Domingo is also charged with second-degree burglary and aggravated criminal surveillance. He was booked at the Fort Payne City Jail and later transferred to Dekalb County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $15,000. He was also placed on an ICE detainer.
Another arrest made last week comes from St. Clair County. Twenty-one-year-old Andres Lucas was charged with carrying concealed brass knuckles and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, suggesting a previous felony conviction or some other disqualifying charge.

He was likewise placed on an ICE detainer and jailed on a $3,000 bond. Jail records state he was released, but they do not state if that was to another agency.
The most recent cases make four total criminal illegal aliens arrested in the state over the past month.
Erin Roelmer Ramos-Perez, 24, was arrested and placed in the Lee County Jail on Sunday. He is charged with first-degree rape and is being held without bond. Court records state the alleged offense occurred in Opelika on the same day of his arrest.
The criminal complaint accuses Ramos-Perez of having sexual intercourse with a woman who was "incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless or mentally incapacitated." It further alleges that the act occurred while the victim was asleep. Ramos-Perez is the second illegal alien in Opelika to be charged with rape this month.
Artemio Garcia Perez, 20, was arrested by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport earlier this month while attempting to flee the country. He was extradited to Lee County, where he will be charged with first-degree rape, according to Opelika Police.
