Former President Donald Trump is already scheduled to visit Alabama in August, but he may be making a return trip to the Yellowhammer State in October for a GOP presidential debate, according to candidate Nikki Haley.
The Republican National Committee has only officially announced the first 2024 GOP presidential debate scheduled for August 23 in Wisconsin, but Haley claims the third debate will be held in Alabama.
CNN's Kit Maher reported that the former South Carolina governor revealed the third debate location, which has yet to be confirmed by the Republican National Committee, during a campaign stop in New Hampshire.
"At a campaign stop in NH, Nikki Haley appeared to reveal the third GOP debate location: 'First debate's August in Wisconsin,'" Maher tweeted. "'Second debate's September at the Reagan Library. Third debate's October in Alabama – by October, you're going to see a totally different ball game.'"
Haley was responding to whether or not she'd consider accepting the vice president position of whoever ends up being the GOP candidate aside from herself, Maher said.
Haley trails fifth in the polls, according to FiveThirtyEight, behind Vivek Ramaswamy, former vice president Mike Pence, Florida governor Ron Desantis and former president and current poll leader Donald Trump.
