A federal lawsuit against three officers, the City of Decatur, a towing company and a credit union connected to the officer-involved shooting death of Steven Perkins has been dismissed.
United States District Judge Corey Maze dismissed the lawsuit against the officers who did not fire shots and the tow truck company involved.

The lawsuit against Officer Mac Marquette remains active. Marquette is also charged criminally with murder.
Police said Perkins was shot after the tow truck driver called police as he was trying to repossess Perkins' truck. A video of the shooting was leaked.

Marquette is considered innocent until proven guilty.
