Despite ample public outcry, the Trump administration has not yet released information related to the late, accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and his alleged clients.
President Donald Trump has downplayed the issue, going so far as to call the so-called "Epstein List" a Democrat "hoax," apparently hoping his base would move on and focus on all the wins he's delivered elsewhere. Meanwhile, many Republican lawmakers have joined their constituents in calling for greater transparency.
On Friday's episode of WVNN's "The Dale Jackson Show," U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) said the GOP has "misplayed" the issue. He said people deserve to know the truth about Epstein, as well as the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, regardless of the consequences or implications.
"I believe that it has been handled poorly, to say the least. Everybody knows my position. Put the information out on Epstein," Strong said. "Put the information out on Kennedy. And put the information out on Martin Luther King. I think the American people deserve to know what happened, who participated, how this occurred."
He continued, "How in the world the Republican Party is now playing defense on this issue is absolutely ridiculous. We ought to be throwing the ball on it. But I'm all for releasing all the information. I know it's a lot of it. I don't know if it's a list or how they have these names, but put them out there and let it land where it is. But also, the Kennedy file - a lot of people said, 'Hey, I want to know what happened to Kennedy.' Was that an inside job? Then also Martin Luther King. Bring it out there. I think the people deserve to know. And that's exactly the position I've got. But I think that we've misplayed this one, just to be honest with you."
