HUNTSVILLE — Protesters, reportedly numbering in the thousands, descended on Huntsville Saturday as part of the nationwide "Hands Off" rallies against the Trump administration.

Indivisible-5th District of North Alabama, a Soro-backed organization, helped organize the event in partnership with a local chapter of the 50501 Movement.

The Huntsville event was scheduled from 2-5 p.m. at Huntsville's Big Spring Park. The Indivisible 5th District North Alabama Facebook Page touted an estimate of 2,000 attendees. The protest appeared to be a catch-all event for disgruntled Democrats and leftists across racial and generation lines. Many protestors carried anti-President Trump and anti-Elon Musk signs or flew the American or LGBTQ flag.

While some of the signage appeared to be handmade, many of the signs and displays were screen printed or elaborate enough to suggest that their production may have gone beyond a grassroots endeavor. Some of the more notable signs were: "Love Your Mother - Support the EPA" and "M A G A = Morons Are Governing America."

One sign included a triptych of Hitler/Trump/Musk with the signature Hitler-postage mustache on all three and the message, "Stop. Hostile. Takeover. Now!!!"

The anti-Elon signs said, "Teachers over Teslas" and "Revoke Musk's Citizenship."

Other signs were focused on Alabama state leaders. One said, "Fire Dale," referring to Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia), and one that read, "Dale Weak. Tub of Vile. Katie Brittle," referencing Strong, and Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) and Katie Britt (R-Montgomery)

Several moderators led the event, one dressed in a hijab and draped in a Palestinian flag. The moderators also led the crowd through the main chant of "Hands Off," with different modifiers such as "Hands Off our Rights," "Hands Off Social Security," Hands Off our Freedoms," and so on.

Other chants included, "Join us if you want them gone. We did not elect Elon," and "Don't know how you sleep at night. Healthcare is a human right."

While the signage and participants were primarily focused on being anti-Trump and anti-Elon Musk, the speakers' focus appeared to be pro-labor, pro-anarchy and pro-Ukraine.

The speakers' topics covered typical left-wing issues, urging activism, demanding health care, protecting voting rights, fighting for "transgender rights," and overthrowing the patriarchy and the oligarchy.

But local 5051 Movement organizer "Jeff" made it clear what their purpose was: "It's pretty simple. It's three words," Jeff said. "Remove. Reverse and Reform.

"I'm not going to mince words. Remove: We are here to remove this administration. We are not satisfied with the status quo and we are definitely not happy with the direction that it is going."

Jeff continued, "We are here to Reverse. The illegal executive orders and the infringements upon our rights. We are here to Remove the billionaires from power. We are to reverse the flow of wealth. For too long, it has only gone up."

While this 50501 Movement keeps shifting the names of its sponsors in an apparent attempt to disguise the astroturf and front organizations like George Soros, it did little to hide its Marxist leanings and intent.

Other Hands Off events were scheduled in Alabama, including in Athens, Birmingham and Florence.
