The Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) staff union called on the left-wing nonprofit’s CEO Margaret Huang to step down on Monday.

The SPLC laid off over 60 employees in June.

"In 3 successive votes, @splcenter staff used the tools of workplace democracy to express their lack of faith in SPLC leadership," the SPLC union wrote on Twitter. "Each time, they gave Margaret Huang and SPLC management a failing grade. That is why we are now calling for the Board to remove Margaret Huang as CEO."

According to the union, 139 of 150 members of the SPLC’s voting union bargaining unit cast a vote of no confidence in Huang.
