State Rep. Tracy Estes (R-Winfield) pleaded not guilty in Marion County District Court to a domestic violence charge on Wednesday.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department arrested Estes for domestic violence in the third degree on Friday.

According to the complaint, the alleged incident occurred around August 20. Estes allegedly threatened his wife, Christina Estes, verbally and "turned the heat on in the room where she was taking shelter trying to force her out of the room."

According to court documents, Estes has posted bail and been released from jail on bond.
