BON SECOUR — U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) joined the Baldwin County Republican Party and other supporters for a mix-and-mingle event on Wednesday.

The event was at the new Tin Top Restaurant and Oyster Bar in Bon Secour, just outside of Foley.

Moore currently represents the second congressional district but is running for the first congressional district seat due to redistricting. He thanked constituents for their support of himself and President Donald Trump.

After speaking with former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, Moore believes Trump will win the November 5 general election.

"Mark and I were in Nashville and Mark's had a good thumb on the pulse of elections nationally," said Moore. "He's probably one of the best I've ever seen. He looks at precincts and he told me, he said, 'Barry, you're going to win your race by 3,400 votes in the primary, and I won it by 3,500 votes. That's how close he gets these things."

"So, we were talking and he said, 'Trump's going to win," Moore said. "He said, 'He's going to win this thing."

However, he said the GOP's work is not done.

"We need to call our friends in those swing states," he said. "We've got to make sure we let them know you engage in the process, and so, y'all get out."

"[I] thought for sure, when I won in 2020 that I was gonna serve with that man [Trump]," Moore added. "I have never served in the House of Representatives with Donald Trump in the White House but we're going to change that, come Tuesday and we're going to take this nation back."

Moore believes Republicans will win the Senate but said the House will be a close race due to redistricting. He encouraged voters to support Caroleene Dobson in the second congressional district.

The Baldwin County Republican Party will host an election night watch party at Water's Edge in Robertsdale from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
