U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) said optimism is high in Alabama since Donald Trump's reelection, but he's still concerned about farmers being able to bounce back after the damage done by the Biden administration.

Tuberville told host Sebastian Gorka on Newsmax TV's "The Gorka Reality Check" Sunday that Alabamians were "fired up" about another Trump Presidency. Still, he warned this could be the "last chance" Americans get to restore conservative values.

"You feel the energy out there of people, you know," Tuberville said. "There's a new life because, as I've told them all in my state, as I was going around campaigning for President Trump and tell them what's going on, basically, this is going to be the last chance for the United States of America that we grew up in. If we don't get it right this time, it's going to go so far down. Our kids and grandkids will have to build it back from ashes."

Tuberville said that includes ensuring our nation's farmers don't continue to fall between the cracks.

"Our farmers have taken a huge hit from Joe Biden," he said. "You never hear Joe Biden say one word about our farmers. The input costs were skyrocketed because of all of his inflation, and the prices are so low because they're allowing all these imports to come in from other countries.

"We lost 150,000 farms in the last three years," he continued. "We're going to lose probably 100,000 more this year. I hope enough of them can hold on where we can protect the American people in terms of our food quantity."

The Senate has been working to pass an aid package in a new Farm Bill, but negotiations have stalled due to disagreements over funding.
