U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) sat down with Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday and once again affirmed his support for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.

Tuberville's appearance follows the launch of a six-figure ad campaign by the Democratic National Committee in favor of President Joe Biden, who is touting the recent debt ceiling deal he negotiated with House Republicans in exchange for specific restraints on the federal government's spending capacity.

The ads warn against dangerous "MAGA Republicans" and argue that Biden has contributed to a healthy economy despite the extreme levels of inflation that are eating away at savings across the country.

"Everywhere I go, even a lot of Democrats are telling me, 'Coach, why are we spending all this money?'" Tuberville said. "Where are we getting all this money from? We're so far in debt. Our kids and grandkids are going to be in bad trouble."

Tuberville described himself as a "Trump guy" and insisted the former president was the best candidate to repair the damage done by the Biden presidency.

"Being in coaching, you're always going for experience," he explained. "Somebody that's been there has done that. We know what he's going to do. We ... understand who he is. You've got to accept sometimes things that he says because he's not going to hide. He's going to run to the problem."

Tuberville took a jab at the mainstream media by saying that they were all Democrats but would be voting for Trump, too, if things kept getting worse.

"We are in serious trouble right now, and it's going to get worse in the next few months," he added.
