A straw poll taken among this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference attendees last week ranked U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) the fourth favorite U.S. Senator overall.
Tuberville garnered 7% of the vote, behind U.S. Sens. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) with 9%, 21% and 28% support, respectively.
The straw poll conducted by McLaughlin and Associates surveyed 1,022 people at CPAC in Washington, D.C., using an online platform and mobile app from February 19-22, according to Newsmax, which was voted the most trusted cable news outlet in a separate CPAC poll.

Tuberville gained nationwide notoriety and strong support among many conservatives for his nearly year-long hold on Department of Defense promotions in protest over the government funding travel expenses for military servicewomen to seek abortions. He also received 1819 News' first-ever Albert Patterson Courage Award.

Voters in another CPAC straw poll showed overwhelming support for President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, each earning a 99% approval rating. Vance was also voted the top pick for the Republican presidential candidate in 2028.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) were picked as the "greatest threats to the U.S. and the GOP."
