With less than 30 days until the presidential election, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) is calling on Republicans to get out the vote for new leadership to get the country back on the right track.

"We have to go out, and we have to elect people that are going to stand up for our country and not for other things like socialism, communism, world wars," Tuberville said Friday on FM Talk 106.5's "The Jeff Poor Show." "I mean, we're in dire straits right now. I hope to God that in the next 30 days, more and more people come to their senses."

While the economy and illegal immigration reign supreme in the minds of many voters, Tuberville said the number one question constituents ask him is whether or not their vote will even count.

The relevant portion begins around the 13:00 minute mark.

"I've been campaigning for President Trump and for other senators. You know, most people ask you, they say, 'Coach, is my vote going to count?' They don't ask you about the recession that we're in, or the oil prices, or the climate, or border, which they're very concerned about," he said. "They're worried about their vote count. And I'm telling you, you know, if it looks anything like anything that happened last time, I'm afraid what's going to happen in this country. And I really don't think that the Democrats care."

Tuberville pointed to the ongoing crisis in areas torn apart by Hurricane Helene and the Biden-Harris administration's slow response to aiding those in need.

"What's going on up there, there's going to be five, six, 700 people that's going to be found dead in this situation, not 200," he said. "And I hope people open their eyes. What a complete catastrophe it's been for the FEMA and the federal government, not lifting one finger to help those people."

Tuberville continued, "I just hate to see what's happening to our country and to the American people, but I think the American people are resilient. And I just hope to God that these people will say, well, 'I've always voted Democrat,' folks, it's not your party that's at stake, it's your country that's at stake."
