Joe Biden was sitting across from Barack Obama when Obama famously said, “I’ve got a pen, and I’ve got a phone” to issue executive orders. Joe Biden was listening.
In his first 100 days alone, Joe Biden signed more than 60 executive orders reversing successful Trump policies to secure our border, combat crime and protect American families from Washington bureaucrats.
Joe Biden has signed dozens of orders promoting gender equity, discussing climate change, and bolstering the regulatory state.
So why can he not use executive authority to secure our border?
He and Secretary Mayorkas, who the House recently impeached, have claimed that it is because they will be sued. That excuse apparently doesn’t apply to their woke priorities.
In an apparent effort to buy votes last year, the Biden administration attempted to forgive $430 billion in student loans. Thankfully, due to President Trump’s conservative Supreme Court appointments, this massive bailout was struck down.
Joe Biden will apparently go to any length to forgive the loans of Ivy League, gender-studying elites on the backs of working-class taxpayers, but he won’t so much as lift a pen to secure our border.
So, I find it disingenuous when he says he cannot use executive power to secure our border because it would be litigated.
Given the United States is facing an unprecedented illegal alien crime wave, one would think that Biden would use all tools at his disposal as president to secure our homeland. He will protect his woke agenda, but not American families.
We are left with a president who has declined to uphold his constitutional duty to protect the American people from a foreign invasion. In January, when the American people demanded he act on border security, Biden claimed he had no lawful authority to combat the illegal immigration crisis.
Knowing full well Senate Democrats would not allow any commonsense border security bill to pass Congress, Biden stated, “If you’re serious about the border crisis, pass a bipartisan bill and I will sign it.”
Understanding you hold statutory authority to protect the American people but refusing to use it is the weakest form of leadership imaginable. Biden’s failure to act has held deadly consequences and wrecked the lives of American families.
Just last month, Lester Cruz, a criminal illegal, was charged with murder and aggravated assault after stabbing two people in Huntsville. Cruz, who has no right to be in this country to begin with, has been placed on a hold for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Unfortunately, these atrocities committed by illegal aliens are hardly isolated.
The horrific murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley last month highlighted just how inhumane these animals are that Biden has allowed to pour across our border.
President Trump was correct when he said of countries encouraging criminal elements to invade our nation, “They’re not sending their best.”
Trump showed true leadership in the White House, he acted on his own as commander-in-chief to defend our national sovereignty.
Whether it was the travel ban, identifying funds to construct the border wall, the zero-tolerance policy, catch and deport, or “Remain in Mexico,” President Trump took swift action at every turn to put the interests of Americans first.
At a time when the worst of society are coming from adversarial countries to infiltrate our country, Biden is missing in action. His incompetent leadership has created a pathway for a large-scale terror attack to occur within our own borders.
Even Christopher Wray, Biden’s own FBI director, acknowledged the threat posed by the administration’s inaction at the border, saying, “I think any time you have a group of people in the United States we don’t know nearly enough about, that is a source of concern for us.”
If Biden was serious about protecting our homeland, he would follow President Trump’s lead and use his executive authority to close the border immediately.
Biden’s refusal to defend Americans from this foreign invasion is the worst presidential failure in modern American history.
