Former Auburn golfer Jackson Koivun capped his amateur career with a final score of 5-over par at the 126th U.S. Open on Sunday, sharing the lowest amateur score in the event and finishing tied for 23rd place overall.

Auburn track and field made history Thursday as Ja’Kobe Tharp ran a world-record 12.75 in the 110-meter hurdles, while the men’s 4x100-meter relay set a collegiate record with a 37.75.

Fueled by a pair of solo home runs, No. 6 seed Auburn baseball snapped a three-game losing streak in the SEC Tournament with a 3-1 victory over No. 14 seed LSU on Wednesday at the Hoover Met. 

It was a quiet showing at the plate, full of missed opportunities for No. 4 Auburn against No. 24 Jacksonville State on Tuesday night at Rudy Abbot Field, as the Tigers suffered their second loss of the season to the Gamecocks, 4-1. 

No. 5 Auburn baseball secured its first series in Starkville since 2017, and its sixth consecutive Southeastern Conference series win for the first time in a single season since 1995, with a 2-1 series win over No. 10 Mississippi State this weekend. 

Auburn’s star golfer, Jackson Koivun, etched himself into the Southeastern Conference history books as the league named him Player of the Year for the third consecutive season, making him the first-ever to accomplish that feat.
