Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons has been cleared to participate in team activities as Auburn starts preseason practices on Wednesday, head coach Hugh Freeze told reporters on Wednesday.

Auburn sophomore wide receiver Malcolm Simmons was arrested on Wednesday on charges of domestic assault with strangulation or suffocation, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
