Robert McCollum, former PSC candidate, announced his candidacy for the open seat of State Auditor.

Businessman Robert Lane McCollum announced on Tuesday that he will be seeking the Republican nomination for president of the Public Service Commission in 2024.

“Because I know that change is the only course for a new beginning at the Public Service Commission, I am wholeheartedly endorsing Robert McCollum for Place 2 on the Public Service Commission,” Robin Litaker said announcing her endorsement ahead of Tuesday's runoff election.

“I will not be a yes man. I will not vote for every rate increase. I will ask questions and I will make decisions that are fair to the consumer," Robert McCollum told the 1819 News about his candidacy for PSC.
