The Jefferson County Commission will be forking up $4 million to the World Games 2022 to help address the organization’s $14 million debt.
On Monday, World Games 2022 CEO Nick Sellers released a statement addressing the $14 million deficit of the World Games, in which he said he was working with both public and private partners to satisfy the event’s debts.
The World Games 2022 came to a close in Birmingham last month after falling $14 million short of breaking even.
