Down by double digits at the half, No. 15 Auburn (16-5, 6-2 SEC) was forced to battle back once again.
With two major SEC meets looming, and Sunisa Lee not competing on the floor, No. 5 Auburn took care of business against No. 20 NC State. The Tigers surpassed 197 for the fourth time this year, defeating the Wolfpack 197.175-196.125.
On the precipice of making more history in Neville Arena, and with the Jungle out in full force, the nation’s longest active home winning streak ended before it could really begin. Texas A&M(14-6, 6-1 SEC) shot the lights out in the first half and held on to their 15-point halftime lead, taking down the Tigers 79-63.

Before the 87th Iron Bowl, football radio analyst and former Auburn quarterback Stan White announced that after 22 years in the booth, he was retiring from his position with the Auburn Sports Network. Only a few months later, it has been announced that Jason Campbell, another former quarterback and legend in his own right, will be replacing White as the radio analyst ahead of the 2023 season.

Hugh Freeze’s hot start as Auburn’s head football coach continued Thursday with another big time signing through the transfer portal. The Tigers have landed one of the top defensive tackles in the transfer portal and a former five-star from Kentucky, Justin Rogers.

Sometimes labeling the year as a success or failure is the way to go, but a season of Auburn athletics can rarely be classified as that, so eventful just seems right. With a recruiting class that addressed the defensive front in need of depth and talent, Auburn will also be getting some help on the back end of the defense with two veteran cornerbacks returning to the Plains. According to a report from Justin Hokanson of AuburnLive, D.J. James and Nehemiah Pritchett will be back in the orange-and-blue for the 2023 season.
