Before the 87th Iron Bowl, football radio analyst and former Auburn quarterback Stan White announced that after 22 years in the booth, he was retiring from his position with the Auburn Sports Network. Only a few months later, it has been announced that Jason Campbell, another former quarterback and legend in his own right, will be replacing White as the radio analyst ahead of the 2023 season.

Hugh Freeze’s hot start as Auburn’s head football coach continued Thursday with another big time signing through the transfer portal. The Tigers have landed one of the top defensive tackles in the transfer portal and a former five-star from Kentucky, Justin Rogers.

There were no late-game heroics from Wendell Green Jr. this time at Stegeman, as the Auburn faithful in Athens and at home watched as the Bulldogs dismantled the Tigers 76-64. Mike White is now 7-3 against Bruce Pearl in the SEC and has his first signature win at Georgia.
The Georgia Bulldogs were the worst team in the SEC last season, but that did not the No. 1 Tigers from dueling with their familiar foes in a contest that had every fan on the edge of their seat until a Wendell Green, Jr. layup saved the day for Auburn and preserved that No. 1 ranking for a bit longer.
It was a long and eventful year for Auburn athletics. Sometimes labeling the year as a success or failure is the way to go, but a season of Auburn athletics can rarely be classified as that, so eventful just seems right. But what were some of the biggest stories for the Tigers during 2022, and could there be more of the same in 2023?
With a recruiting class that addressed the defensive front in need of depth and talent, Auburn will also be getting some help on the back end of the defense with two veteran cornerbacks returning to the Plains. According to a report from Justin Hokanson of AuburnLive, D.J. James and Nehemiah Pritchett will be back in the orange-and-blue for the 2023 season.
