The Fred & Rheta Skelton Center for Cultural Renewal aims to do just what its name implies: renew the culture.
A culture war is just as serious as a traditional war, even more so in many cases. There is no neutral in this fight, it’s a total war for the very soul of our nation.
Religion – particularly Christianity – is at the core of society because it puts us in right relationship with God. And when we’re in right relationship with God, everything else falls into place, namely, our relationships with family, work, community, and government.
Will we be looked at as a people who fell short, lost their way, and wasted and wore away their cultural heritage? Will future peoples look at an American penny the way I look at my Roman coins?
For nearly 80 years, conservatives have warned about the ideological capture of American higher education. And yet, each successive generation of conservative leaders continues to attend the same establishment schools, only to denounce them upon graduation.
Is it even possible to pass along neutral principles to children, devoid of bias or personal viewpoints? Hardly.

Satan isn’t hiding out in the things that already make us uneasy. He’s working in the places where we’ve stopped asking questions.
Whatever readers think of my letter’s philosophy, style, or advice, my hope is that you’ll write similar letters to your own offspring, your word-gift of life lessons and encouragement intended to inspire them in good times and bad.

At some point, irony stopped being a tool with which to diagnose the culture and became the personality of our culture. It crept into our conversations, our art, our politics, and eventually into the way we talk to those we love.
If evil cannot exist without good, then evil cannot be eternal. It also cannot be all-powerful nor the foundation for existence itself. Only Goodness is eternal, all-powerful, and the foundation of existence: what Christians know as “God.”

Let’s keep politics in perspective and leave craxy to the craxies.
As someone who has never used AI and avoids its output whenever possible, I feel like I have superpowers. I can actually read a book and understand it. I can remember a state capital without asking ChatGPT. I can sit in one spot and slave over a poem or essay without asking a robot to do it for me.
