The Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) is initiating a comprehensive election integrity program involving over 400 poll watchers and election attorneys stationed in various districts in Alabama and Georgia to ensure the security of Tuesday's general election.
Since the mountain of speculation surrounding election integrity after the 2020 presidential election, conservative lawmakers and politicos have made election integrity a main talking point for the last four years.
In Alabama, Secretary of State Wes Allen, lawmakers and others are focused on the possibility of non-citizen voting. Last month, a federal judge required Allen to halt a program designed to purge non-citizens from the state's voter rolls.

On Monday, the ALGOP announced the mass deployment of 200 poll watchers to specific districts in Alabama and 200 to Georgia.
Alongside poll watchers, ALGOP will have dozens of election lawyers stationed in critical areas around Alabama. The attorneys will provide immediate legal support and oversight to address potential election-related issues and ensure full compliance with Alabama election laws.
"The Alabama Republican Party is committed to safeguarding the electoral process and ensuring every legal vote is counted properly," said ALGOP chairman John Wahl. "Alabama voters deserve to know that their votes will be counted accurately, fairly, and transparently. Election integrity isn't a partisan issue but rather a principle rooted in protecting the voices of the American people. I want to see Alabama leading the way in election integrity and government transparency, and that's what this project is all about. Every voter should have confidence in our election process and trust in the system that upholds our constitutional republic for future generations. This year's deployment of trained poll watchers and legal experts sets a new standard for election integrity that I hope will be followed for years to come."
Poll watchers and attorneys will receive comprehensive training to recognize potential irregularities and resolve possible issues.
"I am glad to see so many Alabama volunteers making a difference, not just here in Alabama but also in critical swing states like Georgia and North Carolina," Wahl continued. "As Chairman of the Alabama GOP, I want to see our state leading the way at the national level as we fight to take America back. This November, I am proud to see Alabama on the front lines of making America great again."
