On the eve of the general election, U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) again made the case for his Deport Illegal Voters Act, a proposed bill that would make it an aggravated felony for non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections and put those who violate the law at the front of the line for deportation.

"The first crime they committed was when they came here illegally," Strong said of illegal aliens Monday on Newsmax's "Wake Up America."

Strong emphasized that the bill would cover all non-citizens, even those in the United States, legally as part of a government program.

"It's for all immigrants. It doesn't matter if you're here on a green card, you have no right to vote in America," he said. "...No matter where I've traveled over these last this last month and a half, everybody believes that's one of the problems. We've got people that shouldn't be voting. That's proven in Michigan. We had it in Russellville, Alabama. And so what we're fixing to do is do everything we can to stop it."

Strong mentioned how Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen's attempts to purge the state voter rolls of over 3,000 illegal voters were thwarted by a federal judge.

"So what we ought to do is just go to the polls, and these [non-citizen voters] ought to be arrested," Strong said. "It's illegal in America to vote if you're not a U.S. citizen."
