Longtime author and columnist Dr. Naomi Wolf has made headlines recently by writing to expose much of what has been done and is still being done to divide and manipulate Americans through the COVID-19 Pandemic Panic. The formerly reliable supporter of Leftist-Liberal causes and candidates began writing on the subject more than a year ago, and recently sat for an Epoch Times interview about her current book, The Bodies of Others, which she describes in part as “The War Against the Human.” She is to be congratulated for writing to expose the truth, and we hope she continues.
Frederick Douglass, the greatest thinker, speaker, and writer on freedom and human rights in American history, wrote about how a class of our country’s richest elites, who started as slave plantation owners, have divided Americans by race to manipulate and control us since before our country’s founding. Douglass was born a slave, never had any formal education and taught himself to read and write against the will of his master before escaping slavery and eventually helping lead the United States to permanently abolish slavery.
In his autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave, published in 1845, he explained that slavery severely harmed not only Black Americans who were slaves but hurt the quality of life and freedom for all Americans. After two more books, many years of publishing newspapers, speaking and writing for freedom, he delivered and published his last great speech in 1894, “Why is the Negro Lynched?”
In this last speech, Frederick Douglass exposed how the same class of elites who had been slave plantation owners falsely accused Black men of being predators and rapists of White women, and then manipulated mobs who lynched them without trial, to build racial hatred against Black men. Douglass explained that these evil actions, like slavery, hurt all Americans. The same class of elites still divides us by race today but has now found new ways to separate us.
More than a year ago, Wolf listed many actions that were being taken against Americans, but especially against religions, religious minorities, small business owners, and children, in the name of public health and safety. For example, emergency measures suspended due process, with no end in sight. Schools were closed. Businesses were forced to close, which eventually caused many to go out of business; but not the largest businesses, which reaped huge profits. People lost their jobs. Free speech was suppressed, and people were forced to wear face masks. Laws were passed to force people to accept injections with experimental vaccines.
Early this year, Wolf published an article, “Is it Time for Intellectuals to Talk about God?” Liberals, intellectuals, progressives, and leftists were bullying others and helping to enforce many of these actions against the freedom and rights of all Americans, including against children. Many of Wolf’s closest friends and allies had emphatically given up what they had professed to believe in for many years. They began repeating talking points from CNN and MSNBC and refused to even hear information from any other sources — even medical journals and the CDC --- which contradicted them. In fact, Wolf was suspended from Twitter, shunned and smeared by former allies.
Our belief systems were abandoned overnight, including belief in human rights and the U.S. Constitution. People Wolf admired, including Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, apparently did the same.
After witnessing this level of evil from many different perspectives, Naomi Wolf began to believe that humans couldn’t have been smart enough or powerful enough to come up with it alone, concluding that it will require God’s help to overcome. She is correct. But if she will thoroughly read the books, writings and speeches of Frederick Douglass, and The War Against Black Americans and Freedom, by myself and Nick Noel, which is heavily based upon the writings of Douglass, she will understand that this evil is being perpetrated by the same class of elites who gave us slavery, the Civil War, segregation, and keeps Americans divided by race today.
