We have been asleep for far too long.
It’s relatively understandable. We’re busy with careers, raising our families, and living our lives – and there is nothing wrong with any of those things – except that while we’ve been multi-tasking, our country has been radically transformed before our very distracted eyes.
In 2024, we find ourselves at odds with men delusional enough to call themselves women, sharing our daughters’ bathrooms and locker rooms with little to no repercussions. Sexually-explicit books are positioned in the children’s section of our libraries in the name of “inclusiveness.” Millions of illegal immigrants – many men of military age – have crossed our Southern border unvetted. No one knows who they are, where they are, or why they’re here. And former “border czar,” now Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris, has lost more than 320,000 migrant children. These children are most likely being sex trafficked across America.
If you’ve read this far, surely you feel the urgency to act. Surely you feel the urgency to pray for this nation and our children’s future. You must certainly see the need to get involved in your local school board, monitor your local city council, stay informed regarding statewide politics, and study each presidential policy platform, as we have an election coming up in about 10 weeks.
If none of that stirs you, check your pulse. The hour is too late to remain polite. As a nation, we are in crisis mode. It is way past time to cry out to God and speak out against these atrocities. If you are an American woman, consider yourself conservative, call yourself a Christian, and love your children, then you are failing them if you are on the sidelines.
I’ve been on the sidelines. Neither deceived nor dumb – just apathetic. I’ve neglected prayer for our nation. I’ve neglected personal repentance when needed. I’ve been too busy to attend local board meetings, letting others handle policy issues for years. In 2020, I woke up to the fact that I was part of the problem. And if I don’t act, speak out and seek the Lord, my children will suffer in a nation that used to be free.
Have you noticed the United Kingdom recently? They are arresting citizens who criticize the government. You know if Harris is elected in November, that will happen here, right? Harris is not really a Democrat or a Liberal — she is a Communist. We can derive this from her policy ideas.
If elected 10 weeks from now, she plans to implement cost controls. If you know your history, you know this is a radical Communist tactic. It will result in the destruction of the food industry as we know it in America. It will cause grocery stores in the poorest areas, as well as rural areas, to close. Think bread lines and food shortages. Cost controls eventually result in widespread starvation.
She also wants to tax unrealized capital gains. It doesn’t take an economic genius (which I certainly am not) to recognize how devastating this would be. Small business owners would be crushed. Americans could end up paying taxes on 50% of their income. A real-life example would be that as your home accrues in value, you will pay more money on that value, an additional tax on top of your property taxes, even if you have no plans to sell your home. If you don’t have that kind of money, the government can take your house. Harris’s current proposals would be the most insane tax structure America has ever seen. But as vice presidential candidate Tim Walz says, one person’s socialism is another person’s “neighborliness.”
He’s a lunatic in case you were wondering.
Harris and Walz are for gender-transitioning your children without your knowledge – and taking them away from you if you disagree with your 12-year-old’s desire to switch genders. In fact, Harris is expected to expand the opportunity for the irreversible “gender affirming” surgeries. Forget that an adolescent’s frontal lobe isn’t even fully developed until age 25. Never mind that children who take puberty blocking drugs often never resume puberty, according to a 2020 study. It’s not their problem if our children suffer the inability to ever reproduce, have a lifetime of psychiatric problems, and suffer eternal regret from decisions made at such a young, vulnerable age.
To say this presidential election will shape the future for our children is not an embellishment. You may not like either candidate. That’s OK. You just need to be awake regarding the facts. The time to engage is now before it’s too late.
While atheists and secular humanists would say otherwise, the Bible is replete with examples of God’s great love for His daughters in the faith. Consider His work through Esther, Abigail, Sarah and Deborah. He chose a Jewish teenage virgin, Mary, to bear Jesus, the Savior of the world. Women were the last ones at the cross and the first ones to the empty tomb on Resurrection Sunday. God uses us in unique and life-altering ways.
We may not be as brave and wise as Abigail Adams, or as courageous and unflappable as Harriet Tubman, but we serve the God of the universe. It is not beyond Him to use the prayers and petitions of you and me to change the course of the next four years or alter the depraved spiritual state of this spiraling nation.
Sisters in Christ, pray with me. Pray for spiritual revival. Cry out to God for mercy. Pray He will turn the people of our nation to Himself and grant us unmerited favor. Beg Him for the future of our children and their children.
Lord willing, with gray hair and grateful hearts, we will be able to testify to our children and grandchildren about how God turned this nation around – through the prayers of ordinary, faith-filled women – for His glory and our good.
