On Wednesday, President Joe Biden met with several Democrat governors to discuss his fitness for office and future campaign plans. Though more and more people are asking Biden to consider bowing out of the 2024 presidential race after his lackluster debate performance, the governors said they would support Biden's decision to keep running.

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) was quick to criticize the Democrats for continuing to keep Biden's campaign on life support despite his apparent mental decline.

“What a clown show. I mean, what do these Democrat Governors think they're electing, a homecoming king?” Tuberville said Wednesday night on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

A longtime critic of Biden, Tuberville said the president's shortcomings have been obvious for years and that other people have been running the country for him.

“This is a disaster. We've all seen it for the last three and a half years as Republicans. Most of the Democrats are so blinded they cannot tell a leader from a non-leader, and Joe Biden hadn't been making any decisions,” Tuberville said.

“People need to understand including the Democrats, our country and this world is on life support, and we got a dementia-ridden leader, supposed leader, in President Biden running this country, but he's not running it. He's got people around him that are running it. We're in tough shape.”

He continued, “Jill Biden’s running this show. You know that. Joe Biden is not making any decisions. He's gotten worse; he's going to get worse every day from 16 weeks from now. He's going to really deteriorate, but they can't pull him out. He's the president of the United States. He's going to make that decision. He's got enough votes from his states to get the delegate votes, and so we'll see what happens.”
