Former Democratic candidate for governor Christopher Countryman, 46, and his partner, Bruce Ryan Countryman, 32, were arrested on Monday and charged with methamphetamine possession near Cottonwood Road in Dothan.

After much speculation and attempted mudslinging over perceived residency questions, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) announced on Wednesday that he will make an official announcement on his rumored run for governor at the end of May.
