The Auburn Tigers will travel to College Station on Saturday to take on No. 9 Texas A&M in hopes of their first conference win of the season.

Auburn offense faces tough challenge in Aranda-led Baylor defense

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze said his team will enter Friday’s season opener against Baylor relatively healthy.

An extended partnership with Yellawood will now allow Auburn athletics to display “Pat Dye Field” on each 25-yard line at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the athletic department announced on Wednesday, paying tribute to the legendary Auburn coach Pat Dye. 

A topic of discussion surrounding Auburn fans and the football program for quite some time now has finally come true. 

It’s no secret that Jackson Arnold will trot out as the starter when Auburn takes the field against Baylor to open up the season, as he’s manned the offense throughout all of preseason camp. 

One of the biggest question marks surrounding this Auburn football team heading into preseason camp was who would step up as a playmaker in the middle of a young but deep defensive line room. 

After a decorated one-year stint on the Plains in 2010, delivering the program’s second national championship and an undefeated season, Auburn athletics announced they will retire Cam Newton’s No. 2 jersey.
