An investment group’s proposal to bring live dog racing back to Eutaw isn’t realistic, according to Luther Winn, the CEO of Greene County Entertainment.
A group called Pro Greyhound Racing Investors announced on Monday they were planning on bringing live greyhound racing back to Eutaw’s Greenetrack Greyhound Track and Casino.
Members of the Alabama Ethics Commission unanimously found an ethics violation case involving Luther Winn, Greenetrack CEO, should be referred to a District Attorney on Wednesday.
Local legislation proposing a constitutional amendment to legalize historical horse racing gambling machines in Greene County passed the Senate on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Eutaw's Greenetrack closed as it is grappling with a tax bill that is coming in higher than its monthly revenue.
