Despite some last-minute scheduling drama and a large crowd of protesters, Emily Jones with the Madison County Moms for Liberty said the reading event in Madison on Saturday could not have gone any better.
The Moms for Liberty event featuring Kirk Cameron and Riley Gaines is officially back on at the Madison Public Library.
“At this time, we are hopeful that the library will come to their senses and reverse their decision. We are still planning to be there on Saturday at 10 a.m.”
The library issued a statement Thursday saying the event had to be shut down due to capacity issues and security concerns.
The event at Madison Public Library hosted by the Moms for Liberty chapter in Madison County is expected to draw over 350 attendees, but it’s also attracted a group of far-left protesters planning to hold an event of their own at the same time across the street.
