U.S. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) is starting off the new year with a trip to the U.S. Southern border.
After members of the U.S. House of Representatives elected Mike Johnson (R-La.) the next Speaker of the House, a slew of mainstream media outlets cited an Alabama-based far-left activist organization to accuse Johnson of previously working for a hate group.
The Enterprise Republican gave Johnson high marks and explained the behind-the-scenes challenges were a product of "old guard" Republicans and those concerned about the direction of the country.
Johnson is a senior attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom, which describes itself as “the world’s largest legal organization committed to protecting religious freedom, free speech, the sanctity of life, parental rights, and God’s design for marriage and family.”
