Second congressional district GOP nominee Caroleene Dobson appeared on Fox News on Friday to criticize her Democrat opponent Shomari Figures, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their failed border policies after witnessing the conditions firsthand.

In November, Dobson will go head-to-head against Figures, a former Obama staffer, to vie for the state's newly re-drawn second congressional district.

As with the upcoming presidential race between Harris and former President Donald Trump, immigration continues to be a hot-button issue with voters, as the perceived deteriorating border security allows continued mass illegal immigration at record numbers.

In an appearance on "Fox & Friends First," Dobson detailed her recent ride-along with border patrol in El Paso and said it demonstrated the failures of the Biden administration and the Democratic Party platform.

Nationally, several national stories have gripped headlines. Notable, out of Aurora, Co., where an armed transnational gang, Tren de Aragua, began taking over a local apartment complex. Additionally, another story involved 20 migrants attempting to force themselves onto a California school bus.

In Alabama, a number of illegal immigrants have recently been arrested and accused of sundry sex crimes, murder and other crimes.

Responding to comments from Figures stating that immigration was not a major issue for those in the second district, Dobson vehemently disagreed, citing examples both in Alabama and the nation.

"These situations are terrifying, and we have felt the impacts in Alabama's second congressional district of the open border policies of the Biden/Harris Administration," Dobson said. "It's no surprise that my opponent is trying to deny that this is a problem because he was part of that administration. He was part of Biden's transition team. He helped put in place policies that have harmed our economy, that have endangered our citizens."

"You can talk to anyone in the district: parents, grandparents, law enforcement officers, city officials, business leaders, we're all concerned about the impacts of the open border policy. There's certainly a rise in crime. A 19-year-old in the district was killed earlier this year because of an illegal alien who had not only illegally come here but then had been apprehended for a DUI and then released about three years ago. Additionally, 1,300 Alabamians died of Fentanyl overdose just last year. Much of it manufactured in China and ushered across the border due to the open border policies of the Biden/Harris/Figures administration. This is just an example of the textbook plausible deniability that my opponent and Kamala Harris are engaging in. But the people of Alabama and the people of America can see right through it because they know that this is a huge problem."
