What should be one of Alabama’s shining cities, Montgomery, is instead known for its high crime and corruption.
On a recent episode of “1819 News: The Podcast,” host Bryan Dawson explained how mayhem is more a feature than a bug, not just in the state capital under the leadership of Mayor Steven Reed, but in Democrat-run cities nationwide.
“Steven Reed isn't just failing Montgomery. He's actively presiding over its demolition while auditioning for higher office. Gang violence up, police down. Whitewater rafting parks up, common sense down,” Dawson said. “The theory is simple. In clown world, the faster you destroy, the faster you move up. Exhibit A is playing out live in Alabama's capital.”
Dawson said Reed’s leadership style seemed to be driven by “gay race communism,” a tactic of the left to destroy norms and enact radical change.
“Gay race communism is a radical, egalitarian doctrine that wants to erase all natural, God-given hierarchy and flatten everyone and everything into a mediocre blob,” Dawson said. “It involves erasing all sexual barriers, gender differences and cultural and ethnic distinctions. It is the opposite of meritocracy, and it ends in destruction. Gay race communism is what is behind all of the insane things that, when you look around, and you're just like, how is this happening?”
He continued, “Since Steven Reed has come into power, a once-prosperous Montgomery has turned into a godforsaken hellscape. Crime has been rampant, so much so that hospitals are running short on plasma for normal patients…Where the hell is Mayor Reed, right? You could do a whole podcast on that. But the simple answer is not in Montgomery. He's not in Montgomery. He spent most of the 2024 campaign cycle traveling to shill for another gay race communist, Kamala Harris. He's constantly traveling, trying to build his brand, apparently so he can run for higher office.”
Dawson said the way to advance as a Democrat appears to be the exact opposite of what normal people would think: destruction rather than prosperity.
“My theory is that in order for him to move up in the gay race communist, progressive, Democrat Party, he has to destroy Montgomery, but he's got to do it in a way to where he can continue to get elected. So it's a slow, methodical destruction of Montgomery. And that's what we're seeing.”
Dawson added, “Think about the last presidential candidates. You had Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Can you think of worse hellscapes than San Francisco, California, and Minneapolis, Minnesota? The two highest people on the ticket were the people who brought utter destruction to the places that they came from and are supposed to be helping govern. Think about that. The worse you do, the higher you go.”
Dawson said Montgomery wouldn’t be won back without a fight, and the citizens need to elect a leader based on merit, not race.
“They must be brave. They must be bold. They must be fearless because gay race communists don't give up power without a fight,” he said.
