Fitch thanked several high-profile Alabama officials for their help on the case, including Gov. Kay Ivey and Attorney General Steve Marshall.
"Prayer in Alabama Schools is not a partisan issue but an issue that all Alabama Legislators can support," said sponsors of a Republican Executive Committee resolution urging the Legislature to pass a school prayer statute.
“Yesterday’s raid by the Federal Bureau of Investigations on President Donald Trump’s personal residence was a clear use of excessive force by a regime that continues to show a double standard. Republicans are harassed and demonized, while Democrat officials get a pass. The raid on President Trump’s home is outrageous," the Alabama Republican Party said in a statement.

"That was probably the most disappointing thing this cycle, was just the voter turnout, the voter turnout numbers," Wahl said.
Kimberly Butler, the third-place finisher in the May 24 House District 2 Republican primary is challenging the final election results arguing that she rather than Jason Black should have been in the runoff with certified winner Ben Harrison. The ALGOP candidates committee will hear Butler's challenge.
