For those who remember going through the old “Sears Christmas Wish Book” and circling all of the toys they wanted from Santa as a child, there is no doubt that kids have a little extra hope during the Christmas season. But for one east Alabama child, hope was something he gave to others in 2022.
With all of the goodies you received this Christmas, comes a lot of trash. There are wrapping paper scraps, gift bags and boxes. But disposing of those items could be an invite for thieves, police say.
This past week, my family and I took a short trip to the mountains. While we were there, we visited a few stores and did some shopping. I was taken aback by the small tree filled with hand-written wishes as I entered one of the stores.
He existed in the most significant period of the early Church, which saw tremendous Christian persecution and the establishment of the first Christian creeds.
I just need two things for a perfect Christmas… great food and an action movie in which things explode.
For the believer, our hope is placed in a person, born on December 25, over 2,000 years ago.
If you’re dealing with the problem of pain this Christmas, remember that Christ’s birth is the proof that God does indeed care.
Usually when people say “goodbye,” they don’t actually mean it. Most of the world’s farewells are like that — a matter of courtesy born of habit — goodbyes that at best carry the hope of “until we meet again, my friend.”
After 20 straight days of vacuuming and watching the cat climb the Christmas tree, my mother had reached the end of her rope and said goodbye to real Christmas trees forever.
With the Christmas season upon us, many are trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on their lists. I myself have been in the very same situation. I stopped recently and thought about all the things I got as a child and honestly can’t remember many of the gifts.
‘Twas a Christmas tree lot in Alabama. It was the kind of operation that does business in the parking area of a major shopping complex.
