All up and down the highway from North Alabama to North Florida, proprietors seemed to be of a similar mind, namely, we want your money but don’t think we’re going to furnish a restroom. Pay us and move on!

This entire residency hoax is about the fact that my opponents have nothing to run on, so they have to make stuff up and hope that Alabamians are dumb enough to buy it. This shows you what they really think of the hardworking people of Alabama. They think you can’t think for yourselves.

The Truth and Unity Amendment gives America’s largest Protestant denomination the direction for removing churches from the SBC who go against the Bible’s teaching that only qualified men, not women, should be pastors.

Whatever Jefferson became later in life, in 1776 he spoke as a Christian, wrote as a Christian, and apparently thought as a Christian. The Declaration must be understood as the work of the Jefferson of 1776, not the Jefferson of 1820.

The current divisiveness ripping through Alabama’s veteran ranks is not merely unfortunate, but a spiritual wound.

I confess I’d take a benevolent monarch if it would spare me yet another round of low I.Q. attack ads and text solicitations vying for my vote. Who knew democracy could feel like such a mockery of self-government?

Our South is not a decaying land but rather a thriving one. We have a South worth celebrating and preserving, painted with the broad strokes of beauty, tradition, and a true fear of the Lord. 

When Schmitt dove headfirst into the grass with his nose bleeding and his uniform ruined and the ball in his glove, he looked – briefly, perfectly – like a ballplayer. And the crowd that watched him, sun-warm and loud and happy, looked like an America that was, at least for seven innings, having an absolutely fine time of it.

The last pebble in our sling is with the courts and our government leaders. Our prayer is that with their help, that pebble will strike home, and Jackson Hospital will survive.

Directly voting for a candidate places a lot of responsibility on the individual voter, especially in down-ballot races that don’t have advertising budgets. Down-ballot races are often decided by chance, where variables such as ballot position, name length, pronounceability, gender, and other factors play a big role.  

The doctrine of the Trinity, that God is one in essence and eternally exists as three distinct Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is foundational to the Christian faith. And while this truth is beyond our human comprehension, it is vital to our understanding of salvation.

Unborn children, disabled or not, have no ability to plead for their own lives or argue their value. The job of a good father is to protect them. Sadly, Jesse Ridgway has shown America what a terrible father truly looks like.

Less than a decade ago, here in Alabama, Democrat Doug Jones won a senate seat against the scandal-ridden Republican Roy Moore, as many Republicans sat out the election on principle. However, it appears the Democrats have no such qualms in putting forth absolute radicals.

Some believe IVF is a dangerous field, both ethically and scientifically, and society is not yet (if ever) ready to tread upon this field. I agree, but those embryos that are not chosen are persons, too, and their lives are entitled to legal protection.

Recent news regarding Jackson Hospital’s potential closure has understandably raised concerns among patients, families, employers and health care providers across the River Region.

But don’t you know, that from the wounds we bear for others, everlasting flowers bloom? That to suffer out of obedience in love is greater than any promise of sin?

The Ridgways may have exploited their dead child for clicks, yet I believe this situation affords us an opportunity to truly see sin and evil for what it is. Let’s make child sacrifice evil again.

The schoolmarm from Queens, armed with her X account and the solemn conviction that Providence has selected her to rescue the benighted, arrived in Montgomery to find the patient has not only recovered but is running a temperature considerably healthier than her own. The poor, ignorant Alabamian, whom she had sought to rescue, is meanwhile gainfully employed, paying modest rent, and disinclined to emigrate, which is more than can be said for the constituents she leaves behind on the sidewalks of the Bronx.

If Jackson Hospital closes, patients will go to Baptist where they will encounter the chaos of an overburdened hospital and where BCBS will pay the higher rates anyway. So why not pay those rates to Jackson and prevent what will be a local and regional healthcare calamity?

Congressional districts should be drawn around geography, population and community – not race – where every party must show up and earn every vote.

God takes us into situations we cannot handle on our own so we learn to trust Him alone. And not just for the moment, but for all that lies ahead.

It’s weird. Being back in America again. For one thing, they don’t call it “America” over in Europe. It’s bad form. They call it “the U.S.”

State Rep. Juandalynn Givan needs to stop crying about how black and brown voters are being suppressed when she wants to suppress the votes which upended her quest for power.
