It seems lawmakers, judges, and corrections officials actively attack and prosecute symptoms in the incarceration system, while the root causes are rarely addressed and left to fester and grow worse.

Two hundred fifty years ago on January 10, 1776, Thomas Paine published his influential pamphlet, “Common Sense.” In today’s word, its publication went “viral” as it was re-printed and distributed throughout the American Colonies.

This revival of the Monroe Doctrine isn’t about domination; it’s about decided deterrence and dominant defense. It’s leadership that safeguards American security, promotes regional prosperity, and upholds sovereignty for all nations in the hemisphere which shares our values.

I’m not calling for forced conversions or a new military crusade. I am calling for resolve, for the courage to believe in ourselves and our own history, to choose one thing over another, and to decide ultimately that the West is worth saving.

Serving you remains one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I will continue to give you everything I have.

Remember this before accepting government subsidies: With shekels come shackles.
