I fear the Church is missing the war, and that is why God is using even the political realm to proclaim the Gospel. Christ will be proclaimed King – even if the rocks must cry out.

Redistricting is not about ensuring one party wins or another loses. It is about whether the lines on our maps reflect the people who live here, ensuring one person one vote and fair and equal representation for all.

The left reacted to the death of George Floyd as thousands poured into the streets for a summer of rioting, looting, burning and mayhem. ... The right reacted to the death of Charlie Kirk with prayer vigils, memorial services, increased church attendance ... and a nationally-televised memorial service.

Through a love of the Word, not only may we find a more abiding love for one another here on earth, enough to forgive even our worst enemies, but a faith and hope that Christ’s undying love for us has defeated sin and death.

Charlie Kirk’s recent assassination hit me hard. Kirk had a profound influence on my life, and I never imagined his journey would be cut short for nothing more than doing what he loved most: having honest conversations. 

Every single day in America is like a Pinterest page to someone in the third world.  First world problems are really just third world blessings. 

In a time of bureaucratic paralysis and cultural confusion, there are still warriors who show us what courage really looks like. Chief among them: Major James Capers Jr.

Douglass faced mobs. Kirk faced a gunman. Both show us that the price of liberty is real. But both also remind us of a greater truth: that liberty, once planted in the hearts of people, cannot be killed.

I quietly turn off my TV. I shut off my phone. I close my laptop screen. And, just like that, I found God.

Ultimately, this was never about attacking Regions Bank. It was about helping the institution become even better. That it chose to listen, learn and adapt speaks well of its leadership and augurs favorably for its future relationship with the communities it serves.

As long as politicians in Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery and beyond make soft on crime decisions in the name of equality, horrific tragedies like Julie Schnuelle's murder will continue.

Without God, political violence will grow, becoming more acceptable. The problem is the heart. And the only one who can fix the heart is God.

For American Christians, Kirk is our brother, and his death had a deep impact on Christ’s people.

It’s my belief that the dark, beating-heart center – the motivation of the violence we have seen lately against Christians – has its origin in higher learning institutions, particularly in their liberal arts departments.

This Constitution Day, we must reflect on where the fight goes from here, and how best to take advantage of Trump’s momentum to rescue the Founders’ Constitution from the clutches of the anti-American left.

Without a belief in Higher Law, what basis can there be for resisting tyranny? The decrees of the highest government official, be he Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or a lesser tyrant like George III, must be right, unless there is a Higher Law by which their decrees must be judged.

Charlie Kirk was martyred for living out and courageously sharing his faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was put down because he was too good for this world. May we all strive to be so good that this world must put us down too.

The last time I spoke with Charlie Kirk was December, where he grinned and told me, “Keep fighting.” 

There is a time for grieving, processing and inquiring. But then there is the afterward. We could spend all our time talking ABOUT the generational moment, but it is not the event itself that changes the world. It is what we do with it.  

Christians are called to listen to the world's questions and provide answers from the arbiter and embodiment of truth himself in every single arena. That is exactly what Charlie Kirk was murdered for accomplishing.

My calling, and I believe yours, too, is to speak the truth, defend our children, and ensure that our towns are not swallowed by the destructive ideologies tearing apart bigger cities and nations.

A ninth-place finish is cause for measured satisfaction, not complacency. The real test lies ahead: whether we have the resolve to build upon this foundation and create an educational system worthy of our considerable promise.

While some division is real – often amplified by organized groups or sensationalized headlines – the heart of America beats strong in our communities.

May we be remembered not just for what we said, but for the faith we lived. May we be remembered for courage, for love, for conviction.
